Portable Handheld PDT8100 Application


Restore Handheld 

1)     Connect unit to cradle and wait for the Active Sync window to appear.

2)     If it asks for a partnership type of connection choose “guest”.

3)     Click on “tools” then click on “backup/restore”

4)     Choose the folder option that is called SNAP-2-IT and click on “restore now”

5)     Reboot the unit by pushing “blue” + “power” + “down arrow”. 

 

Update Handheld 

1)     Connect unit to cradle and wait for the Active Sync window to appear.

2)     If it asks for a partnership type of connection choose “guest”.

3)     Click on the “explore” button to browse the handheld data folder.

4)     Copy and paste the necessary files to the Mobile Device folder.

6)     nextinv.txt – holds next invoice number

7)     config.txt – holds the configuration for setup

 

Data Files 

1)     eod.txt – stores invoices for “end of day” invoice register

2)     count.txt – stores the inventory and backroom count.

3)     pcount.txt – stores the product count report information.

4)     Invoice.txt – stores invoice info in csv format.
